Brother Ron Bowman began his railway career in April 1973 as a Yardman at CNR in Toronto. He left CN later that year and hired on with the CPR in London on June 13th 1973.

Ron served terms as President and Vice Local Chairman for UTU Local 568 where his contribution helped improve the working conditions for all the members in London. In 1996 he accepted a position in Calgary where he worked in Safety and Regulatory affairs. Ron returned to the running trades in 2000 as a Conductor on the GO Trains and London Pick up. He then transferred to Toronto and Division 295 where he remained until his recent retirement.

On June 9th 2010 Ron attended Division 295's monthly meeting where he was met by numerous friends and well-wishers. Brother Bruce Hiller presented Brother Bowman with a Teamsters wristwatch on behalf of the TCRC GCA CTY East.

Ron's presence, example and positive outlook will be missed by every person that had the good fortune of working with him over his lengthy career. The members of Division 295 wish brother Bowman continued good health, happiness & success during his richly deserved retirement.
