It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of brother Jack Riddell. He passed away peacefully on the morning of September 14th.

Jack was a great guy

Jack was a well-respected Conductor who was fun to be around. Simply put Jack was a great guy. A trip with Jack was always a good one.

On behalf of the members of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Division 295 we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the Riddell Family. We too will miss Jack and we share your pain and loss today.

June 23, 1957 ~ September 14, 2021 (age 64)

John "Jack" William Riddell Jr.

With his loving wife and partner of 25 years, Patti Riddell (Murray), by his side Jack Riddell passed peacefully September 14th, 2021. 

Jack is survived by his children Sarah Riddell, Katie-Rae Riddell (Justin), Shannon Sturgess (Joseph), Maureen Culp (Matthew), Taylor Murray (Kayla). He was the proudest Grandpa & “Pa” to Jackson, Will, Lincoln, Quinn, Bonham, Padraig, Siobhan, Nora, Damon, Lennox & Mia.

John “Jack” William Riddell is the beloved son of Mae Riddell & John “Jake” William Riddell Sr (predeceased) & the adored big brother to Donna Fitzgerald (Barry), David Riddell (Cathy), Ellen Riddell (Andy), Ray Riddell (Bonnie) and Lynda Riddell (Brad) and uncle to many nieces, nephews & their families. 

Jack retired after 28 years of working for CP Rail where he created lifelong friendships and a career he was incredibly proud of. Jack had a soft spot for his and Patti’s dog Percy Wheaton. His family and close friends who truly knew Jack were consistently gifted by his ability to light up a room with unconditional love, laughter and a quiet tenderness we will hold onto forever.
