Nomination Meeting

TCRC Division 295 Toronto Quadrennial Nomination Meeting will take place during the regular monthly meeting September 8th, 2021 at 1100.

  • Any active member in good standing may nominate a member in good standing.

  • All nominations will require a seconder.

  • Members unable to attend the meeting may write in their choices of nominations to the Division Secretary-Treasurer to be read at the meeting.

April 26, 2021 – Locomotive Engineer Richard Moffat made his final run from Smiths Falls to Toronto on train 143 after 37 years of service. He was met at Toronto & Lambton by family and many friends.

Conductor Only Disputes

Sisters and Brothers, This is in regard to the second to final remaining dispute (Conductor Only Initial Terminal Violations) from our last bargaining sessions with CP and agreed by the parties to be heard by Arbitrator William Kaplan in the closed period. We have one last issue to be heard by Mr. Kaplan on November 11, 2020, that being Final Terminal Switching Violations. These proceedings have been delayed significantly due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and are being heard electronically as opposed to in-person hearings due to our inability to meet face to face.

Dave Luno's Last Trip!

September 5th 2019 - Brother Dave Luno made his final run on train 247-05 from Buffalo to Lambton with Conductor Robyn Brown. Brother Luno hired on at CP in March of 1986 in the Running Trades.

Brother Luno is very well respected both on the job and off. His friendship, humour & skill will be missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to have worked with him. The trips were  always more fun when you worked with Dave.

Ray Cormier

Mississauga Miracle

November 2nd 2019 - Remembering the disaster that forced 240,000 people to flee. New exhibit honours 40th anniversary of Canada's largest peacetime evacuation. Emergency crews eventually put out the fires and then patched a rupture in the chlorine tanker car. Once the chemicals were pumped out, the first families were allowed to return to their homes. After six days, the last of the evacuation orders were lifted.

Appeal of Phil Levy

The promise to make a witness available and then withdrawing that undertaking at the investigative hearing in my view undermines the integrity of the investigative process envisioned by this Office and amounts to a breach of the due process requirement for a “fair and impartial investigation” under article 70 of the collective agreement. As a result, the discipline imposed on the grievor on September 15, 2018 when his employment was terminated is declared to be void ab initio.
