KC
Wynne has made his final run! He worked his last trip on
Saturday June 17th on 230-15 from Toronto to Smiths Falls. He
was met at the Falls by many well wishers. KC comes from a
railway & a union family. His many years of union work have
benefited the members he represented in countless ways. His
legacy will be one of integrity, results & respect.
The judge found “beyond a reasonable doubt” that the rail
company “intentionally” overworked train crews in 22 incidents
of the 38 presented. However, the judge also noted that “CP’s
own evidence was that thousands of situations continue to occur
annually” where train crews are not relieved from work in time.

Angus McLeod has worked his last trip at CP and has moved on to
a better life! The members of Division 295 in Toronto
congratulate Brother McLeod on his retirement.
Bruce
has made his final run! He worked north on Saturday April 15th
out of Mactier. His son Jonathan came in from Toronto on 119 &
was able hand off the train to his Dad for his last trip north.
He worked train 420 back to Mactier on April 16th where he was
met by many well wishers.
Roy
was a well respected (old school) Conductor. Working with him
was both worry free and enjoyable. A kind man & a straight
shooter who is fondly remembered by those of us that had the
pleasure.

30th 2022 - Conductor Rob Blay worked his last shift after 18
years of service. Rob's professionalism on the job is
commendable. He always showed up ready to get the job done. The
members of Division 295 in Toronto like to congratulate Brother
Blay on his retirement.
It
is with great sadness that we announce to you the passing of
Brother Robert Scott Currie on September 16th, 2022. On behalf
of his railroad family, Division 295 would like to extend our
sincerest condolences to Scott’s family and friends.
On
Sunday July 3rd 2020, Conductor Rob Rupert made his final run
from Smiths Falls to Toronto on train CWR-03. Rob's
professionalism on the job is commendable. He always showed up
ready to get the job done.

Ernie Savoie has made his final run from Calgary to Edmonton.
As most of you know, Ernie hired on in Toronto and spent most of his career working here. He remains a well-respected Conductor in this Division. His leadership, grit and example are missed but most of all we just miss him having him around.

passing of brother Blaythe Currie. He passed away on June 8th.
Blaythe was a well respected Locomotive Engineer. He retired at the
age of 55 with 35 years of service.

Brother Dean Wells-Garrett has worked his last shift at Spence! Brother Wells-Garrett is very well respected both on the job and off. His example, leadership, humour and friendship will be missed by us all. On behalf of the Members of Division 295 we wish Dean health and happiness moving forward.

April 28 is the International Day of Mourning, a day to commemorate those whose lives have been forever changed by a workplace accident or illness.

He passed away peacefully on the morning of September 14th.
TCRC Division 295 Toronto Quadrennial Nomination Meeting will take place during the regular monthly meeting September 8th, 2021 at 1100.
Any active member in good standing may nominate a member in good standing.
All nominations will require a seconder.

Cosimo began his career on August 15th 1998. After 33 years he has pulled the pin! His friendship and unique style will be miss by us all!

passing of Brother Robert James (Bob) Fraser.

during yesterday’s conference call with Labour Relations and the
CTY/GC’s, part of our discussions focussed on layoff/recall
process. The following was agreed upon to clarify said process.

bunkhouse. Correen Beasley and Thirley Schell are moving on.

passing of Ray Cormier. Ray passed away at 72 years of age after
being infected with Covid-19 in a Toronto long-term-care
facility. Ray will be sorely missed by many, including his two
sons and two grandchildren.
Brent's good nature and smile will be sorely missed. He will be remembered fondly by all of us who had the good fortune of having worked with him.

Grant was a very well-respected Conductor who served our members
for many years as Local Chairman. He was a union leader who
always stepped up without hesitation. He fought with grit and
tenacity for our rights. You didn't have to guess where he stood
on an issue, he always made that crystal clear.

passing of Brother Garth Harrison. Brother Harrison was a very well
respected Conductor who retired from CP after 35 years of service. He
is remembered fondly by all of us who had the good fortune of having

and Sisters, Sadly, Harold Mac Allen has passed away January 27,
2020. Mac was always ready to be involved in the training of
locomotive engineers. His kind and gentle manner influenced
everyone who had the opportunity to work with him.

15th 2019 - Brother Dan Chehowy made his final run
today from Smiths Falls to Toronto with Conductor Mike Fehrenbach. Brother
Chehowy retires with 38 years of service the Running Trades.

3rd 2019 - Brother Chris Nycz made his final run on train 119
from Smiths Falls to Toronto with Conductor Tony Klothos &
Engineer Trainee Robyn Brown. Brother Nycz hired on at CP in April of
1987 in the Running Trades.

17th 2019 - Brother Joe Nadeau made his final run
on F55 with Conductor Adonis Villeneuve. Upon
arrival at Smiths Falls Joe was met by many family members, friends and
co-workers.

November 2nd 2019 - After 31 years at CP Brother Ken Stuart worked his
last trip from Mactier on October 31st at 23:00 & he was off duty in
Toronto at 07:25 on November 1st. Ken worked train 420-30 with
Conductor Brent Grossett & Conductor Trainee Aaron Gibbons.

There is a celebration of life planned on Sunday June 23rd. Due to the
significant amount of people that wish to attend space is limited. The
details are contained below in a message from Blythe's son.
The promise to make a witness available and then
withdrawing that undertaking at the investigative hearing in my
view undermines the integrity of the investigative process
envisioned by this Office and amounts to a breach of the due
process requirement for a “fair and impartial investigation”
under article 70 of the collective agreement. As a result, the
discipline imposed on the grievor on September 15, 2018 when his
employment was terminated is declared to be void ab initio.
