With profound sorrow and disbelief, we announce
the unexpected passing of Duncan Simpson, who departed from us on
Christmas Day. At present, details regarding services are yet to be
finalized.
Duncan, recently retired from CPKC after a 35-year
tenure with the railway.
Throughout
his tenure, Duncan was an exemplar of unwavering respect and dignity, a
beacon of integrity in an environment where such values often face
serious challenges. Despite the prevailing culture, he maintained a
steadfast commitment to treating everyone he encountered with respect—a
rare and commendable quality that resonated with the members of Division
295.
Duncan earned the respect of his peers within
the TCRC
through his principles and the way he consistently upheld respect and
fairness, defying the norms of the workplace environment.
The members of Division 295 extend our sincere
condolences to the Simpson family.
